Traveling to Ethiopia For Spiritual Pilgrimage

In episode 4 of Black Broads Abroad, Phelena Jean interviews Genet Keffetew, owner of Keffetew Guest House in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Genet is an Ethiopian born serial entrepreneur and philanthropist, who repatriated back to her home country after living in Northern California for more than 30 years. Listen as Genet gives us a history lesson on Ethiopia (then and now), stresses the importance of eliminating brain drain on the continent of Africa and the importance of Africans bringing their talents and resources back home and why she is creating spaces and programming for African American youth to have long term immersive stays across Africa.

Don’t forget to stick around for Phelena’s hilarious but premium free game filled Sunday Sermon.
